About this church

The Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola is located at 9999 North Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens. Weekend Masses are Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7:00, 8:30, and 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. in Spanish, and 5:00 p.m. with contemporary music. Daily Mass is celebrated at 7:00 and 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and at 8:30 Saturday; confession is offered Saturday at 3:00. This broad schedule gives visitors several liturgical and musical options.

Founded as a parish in 1970, St. Ignatius was selected as cathedral for the new Diocese of Palm Beach and dedicated in that role in 1984. Its modern church seats about 1,250, with a sloped floor designed to improve sightlines and participation. Parish life includes children’s faith formation, middle- and high-school youth groups, weekly young-adult fellowship, music ministries, small groups, Eucharistic Adoration, bereavement care, and a food pantry serving neighbors in need. Seasonal ministries and holy-day schedules vary, so travelers should check the bulletin before attending outside the normal weekend rhythm.
