St. James Missionary Baptist Church

About this church

St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Riviera Beach begins Sunday Church School at 9 a.m. and worship at 10, with livestream access through the official site. A community prayer line meets Monday and Thursday from 6 to 6:10 a.m. “Hour of POWER” prayer and Bible study gathers at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays following the first and third Sundays. The church asks callers to mute their phones on the prayer line. Sunday visitors can combine education and worship in one morning, while the weekday prayer options occur remotely or on selected weeks rather than every Tuesday.

St. James describes itself as a multigenerational, Christ-centered congregation serving Riviera Beach, Palm Beach County, and beyond. Its history spans fifty-five years with only two senior pastoral leaders, including the founding pastor. A.R.M.Y., or Anointed Radical Mighty Youth, encourages worship, evangelism, outreach, leadership, and service to God, family, and community. J.A.M.M., “Jesus As My Motivator,” also reaches churched and unchurched young people in a safe setting. Other ministries address prayer, health awareness, HIV/AIDS education and support, and community outreach. A family interested in Youth Church should request the current meeting date because the ministry pages explain its purpose without publishing a separate recurring hour.
