First Baptist Church

About this church

First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale in Valrico begins Sunday School and small groups at 9:45 a.m., followed by morning worship at 10:45. Wednesday prayer service starts at 6:00 p.m. The Southern Baptist congregation describes itself as warm, friendly, and centered on Jesus Christ, with more than eighty years of local history. Its teaching emphasizes the gospel, Bible study, discipleship, prayer, fellowship, and practical Christian service.

Children can join age-specific Sunday School before the main gathering and attend Children's Church during morning worship in Building C. Nursery, preteen, teen, men's, women's, music, and small-group ministries create entry points for different ages and interests. The church's vision is to be an “oasis in the wilderness” where Jesus remains at the center of congregational life. Visitors can make the morning a two-part experience by pairing a class with worship, or arrive for the 10:45 service alone. Families should review the ministry pages or contact the church for the correct children's room before a first visit.
