Cuthbert First Baptist Church

About this church

Cuthbert First Baptist Church begins Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. for ages from children through senior adults, followed by worship at 11. On Wednesday, children and youth share supper at 6 p.m.; at 6:30, children move to AWANA and students gather in the Loft. The full midweek program ends at 7:30. Children's ministry serves ages four through sixth grade and adds Vacation Bible School, a Pinewood Derby, trips, and Upward Basketball each January. Youth meet Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings for Bible teaching, fellowship, and games.

The church's mission is to share the gospel and help others do the same. Its beliefs align with the Baptist Faith and Message and describe baptism as immersion for believers, alongside worship, stewardship, and the Lord's Supper. Cuthbert First Baptist participates in the Southern Baptist Convention, Georgia Baptist Mission Board, and Bethel Baptist Association. Special-interest groups meet at varying times during the year, so the online calendar or office is the best source for anything beyond the main weekly rhythm. The contact page still contains an old pandemic postponement notice that conflicts with the current service and ministry pages; visitors should rely on the updated schedule or call before traveling.
