Dahlonega Baptist Church

About this church

Dahlonega Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in Dahlonega, Georgia, whose stated purpose is to exalt Jesus Christ for God’s glory and the good of the nations. Sunday worship offers both contemporary and classic musical settings rather than asking every visitor to prefer one style. The church also provides ministries for children, teenagers, college students, men, women, musicians, and foster families. Its college group is designed as a Christ-centered community where students connect, worship, grow, and serve, a particularly relevant ministry in a town shared with the University of North Georgia.

Contemporary worship begins Sundays at 9:30 a.m., followed by classic worship at 11:00. Student ministry members attend the 9:30 service together or with their families. For younger children, the church uses trained and background-checked classroom workers, security personnel, and a unique family claim-check code at pickup. The campus is at 234 Hawkins Street. A weekday preschool operates Tuesday through Friday, while Bible studies, choir activities, and other ministries follow their own calendars. Visitors choosing between the two Sunday services should expect a difference in musical style, not a separate congregational identity, and should confirm holiday schedules on the church site.
