Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church

About this church

Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church is an East Point congregation seeking to be a gospel presence that brings joy to its city and the nations. Two contrasting Sunday services, Bible teaching, children, teenagers, missions, fellowship, and midweek study support its Belong-Grow-Impact mission and give visitors a choice between traditional and contemporary worship settings.

Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. Traditional worship follows at 10:30 in the historic sanctuary with classic hymns and organ. The 5:30 p.m. “Next Generation” service is open to every age and uses a more contemporary style. Wednesday supper begins at 5:30; adult Bible study and children’s and youth programs start at 6:00. King’s Kids serves kindergarten through fifth grade with Scripture memory, Bible study, missions, and activities. Lantern Youth serves grades six through twelve through Sunday School and Wednesday teaching, small groups, and fellowship. Children eat the Wednesday meal free. Public pages do not specify worship duration, dress, parking, accessibility, nursery care, child check-in, secure pickup, volunteer screening, livestreaming, or Communion frequency. The visitor-oriented Sunday details appear on a page still labeled for 2025 Vacation Bible School, so holiday and special-event changes should be confirmed on the current homepage.
