New Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church

About this church

New Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church worships on Saturday in Ellenwood. Sabbath School discussion groups meet from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., followed by Divine Worship at 11. Adventist Youth Society gathers at 5 p.m. The congregation is culturally diverse, with members from many countries, and welcomes both in-person and online participants. Guests receive a bulletin from greeters, and parking is available behind and around the church. Music, fellowship, preaching, and shared study are intended to strengthen worshipers while expressing New Hope's mission as a warm community representing Christ's love to one another and its neighbors.

Age-specific worship rotates through the month: Children's Church and Wee Church meet on the second Sabbath at 11, while Youth Church is scheduled for the fourth Sabbath. Children's Bible classes, puppet ministry, vacation Bible school, choirs, praise teams, and youth ministry add other ways to participate. The Community Resource Center distributes food to the Decatur and Ellenwood area on the third Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., supplies food to church members on Saturday afternoons, and collects clothing for people in need. That schedule matters for visitors: worship follows the Sabbath timetable, while the public food distribution occurs on Sunday.
