Big Canoe Chapel

About this church

Big Canoe Chapel is a multi-denominational Christian congregation serving the Big Canoe community near Jasper. It offers identical traditional chapel services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. each Sunday, with the later gathering livestreamed. The church describes bright hymn singing and biblical teaching as central to worship, while a 10 a.m. fellowship period gives people attending the later service time to connect. Its setting and shared-denomination character may appeal to households whose members come from different church backgrounds.

The chapel's ministry pages show an unusually broad community footprint. Children through age four have a staffed nursery at 10:30, children's Sunday school also meets then, and older students are included in family faith formation. Music is prominent: volunteer chapel and men's choirs sing styles ranging from hymns and spirituals to gospel and contemporary arrangements. Local outreach serves neighbors beyond the gates, while global partners support education, clean water, Christian media, and vulnerable children in several countries. Visitors can therefore expect a traditional Sunday atmosphere paired with active service and an intentionally interdenominational welcome. Check the events calendar for holiday or special-service variations.
