The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Madison, Georgia

About this church

Madison, Georgia, has one meetinghouse in the directory for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, at 1091 Ward Rd. The next-nearest meetinghouse is about 20.4 miles away in Covington, and the building offers a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating.

At 10 a.m. on Sundays, the the Madison Branch begins its sacrament meeting: hymns, prayers, the passing of the sacrament, and short talks from congregation members fill the hour, with classes to follow. Coming costs nothing, and a visitor's clothing choice matters little here. Local leaders set this schedule and sometimes adjust it, so a phone call before a first Sunday is a good idea. In addition to the chapel, the building has classrooms and a cultural hall that serves double duty as a gym.
