Smyrna First Baptist Church

About this church

Smyrna First Baptist Church seeks to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ who are anchored in truth, passionate about mission, and engaged in the community. Worship, Sunday School, Church Street Kids, student groups, mission opportunities, and music provide a clear weekly pathway for households. The Crossings Café gives newcomers an informal place to meet people before classes, and first-time guests receive a specialty coffee. Children and teenagers have age-specific Bible learning as well as shared participation in congregational life.

Crossings Café opens Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Sunday School for children and student Study Groups begin at 9:30, followed by public worship at 10:45. Student discipleship meets Sunday at 5:30 p.m. for food, games, fellowship, and small-group conversation. During the school year, kindergarten through fifth-grade children gather Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for music, games, activities, and faith formation. Middle- and high-school students also worship Wednesday at 6:30 in the Student Hall on the second floor. The Worship Choir warms up Sunday at 10:30 before the service, while Wednesday’s music schedule includes children at 6:00, students at 6:30, and later adult rehearsals. Visitors can start at the Welcome Center below the café for directions through the building.
