About this church
Christian Life Center in Berwyn meets Sunday at 10 a.m. and Wednesday at 7 p.m. Sunday services are also carried live on the church's YouTube channel, offering a way to preview or join worship from home. The congregation is affiliated with the Assemblies of God and describes itself as Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-empowered, and grounded in biblical teaching and the Acts 2 model of church life. Its stated pathway invites people to belong in community, believe in Jesus, and become the person God created them to be.
The church began in August 1984 in nearby Cicero. Its history traces an unusually varied route from a funeral-parlor chapel to a storefront and then a Masonic temple before the present congregation developed. Community life now includes small groups built around different interests and seasons. Outreach reaches beyond weekly worship through support for missionaries in the United States and abroad, short-term mission trips that have included Honduras, a weekly food pantry, and jail ministry. A newcomer can attend either recurring service, while the livestream specifically accompanies Sunday worship. People who need groceries or want to join a small group should check the latest outreach or events information before arriving, since the overview explains those ministries without assigning every program a public weekly hour. The historical and mission pages make this more than a service listing: they show a local Pentecostal church shaped by mobility, neighborhood service, and global engagement.
