National Shrine of St. Jude

About this church

The National Shrine of St. Jude is housed at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Chicago's southeast side and is served by the Claretian Missionaries. Rather than functioning only as a neighborhood parish listing, it receives prayer and Mass intentions from around the country, maintains a livestream, offers vigil lights, and teaches visitors about St. Jude, Catholic prayer, relics, novenas, and the liturgical year.

Solemn Novenas are held several times annually, with services at 5:30 p.m. daily except Sundays at 3:00. The shrine's website publishes the exact multi-day dates, prayer resources, tours, and opportunities to request a Mass or join a prayer circle. Its ministry emphasizes hope for people facing difficult or seemingly impossible circumstances and connects that devotion with the Claretians' service to overlooked communities. Visitors seeking an ordinary parish Mass should verify the current schedule with Our Lady of Guadalupe Church; those planning around a St. Jude Novena should use the shrine's own dated calendar rather than assume it occurs every week.
