Collinsville-Troy church of Christ

About this church

Collinsville-Troy Church of Christ worships at 1400 Troy Road in Collinsville on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. An adult Bible class meets Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., and a live video stream is linked from the homepage. The congregation practices a simple, reverent form of worship modeled on its reading of the New Testament rather than an entertainment-oriented service. Its Sunday gathering includes a cappella singing, prayer, Bible teaching, giving, and the Lord’s Supper each week.

The congregation first met on April 8, 1956, and soon rented a house on Vandalia Avenue before establishing its present ministry. It identifies with Churches of Christ, following no creed beyond Christ and no manual beyond the Bible. Local service has included a stocked food pantry and educational programs, while mission support has reached workers in Cameroon and other locations, children’s homes, family services, Spanish-language ministry, and gospel broadcasting. Visitors from liturgical or contemporary-music churches should expect a notably different, Scripture-patterned service. Contact the congregation for holiday changes or additional Bible-class opportunities.
