Bethel Baptist Church

About this church

Bethel Baptist Church begins Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:30 at 501 South Main Street in Georgetown. An evening service follows at 6:00. On Wednesday, adult Bible study and prayer, the teen group, and children’s clubs all begin at 7:00 p.m. Music combines historic hymns with newer conservative selections, and the congregation describes itself as a church family focused on biblical teaching, mutual encouragement, and service.

First-visit guidance addresses common practical questions. Most regular attenders wear traditional Sunday clothing, but the church says guests are welcome and need not match that pattern. A staffed nursery for children through age three is located near the auditorium and is available during services, with a separate space for nursing mothers. Children ages four through twelve may leave for children’s church after the morning offering, while older children remain in family worship. Sunday School serves all ages, and midweek clubs extend children’s and teen programming. Newcomers can therefore choose between the education-plus-worship sequence Sunday morning, the 6:00 evening gathering, or the coordinated Wednesday programs for different ages.
