Church Of The Cross

About this church

Church of the Cross holds traditional worship Sundays at 10:00 a.m. at 475 West Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates, with online participation available. The service generally lasts about an hour and includes a sermon, congregational singing, prayer, and choral music. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Adult Sunday School follows at 11:45 both in person and through Zoom.

The Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation has a notably practical local-service footprint. Its Lilies of the Field clothes closet supplies clothing, while the community garden shares produce with neighbors and the Schaumburg Food Pantry. The church partners with Lakeview Elementary, contributes school supplies through Pack the Bus, supports local police during National Night Out, assists veterans, hosts Scout groups, and provides deacon aid to people facing financial need. Visitors can begin with the 10:00 service and remain for adult education rather than arriving early for class. Those hoping to receive Communion should choose a first Sunday; people considering online participation can use the live-worship page. Mission programs and the clothes closet follow their own schedules, so consult the events page before bringing donations or seeking assistance.
