Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church

About this church

Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church worships Sundays at 10:00 a.m. at 9230 South Pulaski Road in Oak Lawn, with the service also available online. Nursery care is offered during worship. Wednesday Bible studies meet at 1:00 and 6:30 p.m.; the current series follows the sermon theme while going deeper into the biblical text and practical application. Children are welcomed as participants in church life, and youth and children's workers complete background checks, screening, and abuse-awareness training.

Trinity's phrase “Inward. Outward. Together.” describes growth in spiritual life, relationships, the surrounding community, and the wider world. The congregation formed in 1947 through the union of three south-side Covenant churches and moved to its present Oak Lawn site in 1958, carrying a long neighborhood history into current ministry. Partnerships include practical assistance for people experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, addiction, or employment needs; volunteers can help a local pantry on weekday afternoons. For a first visit, Trinity offers one shared Sunday service rather than competing worship styles, paired with online access, nursery care, and two Wednesday study times. The official history also clarifies that “ECC” means the Evangelical Covenant Church, not a generic community-church label.
