Alpine Lutheran Church

About this church

Alpine Lutheran Church in Rockford normally offers traditional worship Sundays at 8:00 a.m. and a praise service with Children’s Church at 10:00. Its official worship page also announces a seasonal change beginning June 14, 2026: one blended summer service at 9:00 a.m., combining hymns and praise songs. Because the page does not state the ending date, summer visitors should verify which schedule is active. Traditional worship uses hymns and a reverent style, while the praise service features an easy-to-follow guide and modern music led by the Alive in Him Praise Band and worship leaders.

The congregation’s mission is to share God’s love. Children’s programming serves preschoolers age three and four through seventh grade, and Youth Connect provides daily online devotions, monthly activities, annual service trips, and other ways for young people to build relationships with God and develop their gifts. Adults can participate directly in worship as greeters, lectors, communion assistants, or through other service roles. Alpine also trains lay assistants to help distribute Communion during worship and to people unable to attend. This church may appeal to Rockford households seeking Lutheran worship with both historic and contemporary musical expressions, plus intergenerational opportunities to serve.
