Open Door Community Church

About this church

Open Door Community Church is a Sterling congregation with the mission of encouraging people to reflect Jesus and serve others. Contemporary worship and practical biblical teaching are followed by an additional faith-and-fellowship period, while transportation, recovery ministry, food assistance, a personal-hygiene pantry, and connection groups make community care a visible part of church life.

Sunday worship begins at the memorable time of 10:10 a.m. Kids ministry serves children from birth through fifth grade, while middle- and high-school students are encouraged to worship with their parents. After the service, a thirty-minute program called After Half offers groups for people of all ages. Parking is available in the west-side lot, along the front drive, on Fifth or Sixth Avenue, and at Challand Middle School across Sixth Avenue. The transportation ministry schedules Sunday pickup between 9:15 and 10:00 and also serves Friday Recovery Alive, Tuesday food-pantry visits, and the third-Saturday Bear Necessities pantry; riders need to coordinate in advance. Visitors can preview recent sermons online and should arrive early if using children’s check-in or transportation.
