Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church

About this church

Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church opens its weekend liturgy schedule with the 5 p.m. Saturday Vigil, followed the next morning by Masses at 8 and 10. at 204 West Mill Street in Waterloo. Daily Mass is offered at 8 a.m. Tuesday through Friday. Reconciliation is published Saturday from 4 to 4:45 p.m., immediately before the Vigil. The parish also schedules Eucharistic Adoration on a designated Monday each month from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; because that is not every Monday, visitors should use the current calendar to identify the correct date.

Catholic life at Ss. Peter & Paul has developed over roughly 180 years, giving the parish a long relationship with Waterloo while its ministries continue to serve present-day households. Faith formation includes children, youth, and adults, with sacramental preparation and ongoing study rather than education ending after a single milestone. Liturgical ministries invite parishioners to serve as readers, musicians, ushers, altar servers, Communion ministers, and behind-the-scenes volunteers. Care ministry supports people experiencing illness, grief, isolation, or another difficult season. A first-time guest can choose either Sunday Mass, while the Saturday Vigil pairs conveniently with the published Reconciliation hour. Families looking for formation should verify grade-specific calendars, and anyone planning Adoration should confirm the monthly Monday before traveling. Holy days and parish celebrations may add services beyond this ordinary weekly schedule.
