Western Springs Baptist Church

About this church

Western Springs Baptist Church, also called the Village Church, worships Sundays at 10 a.m. in person and by livestream. Its intergenerational service aims for fully engaged congregational worship with God as the audience, alongside biblical teaching, encouragement, and fellowship in unity. The church places itself under the authority of Scripture and describes worship as an encounter with the living God rather than a performance. Recent and upcoming livestreams provide an online path for people unable to join the sanctuary.

Several Western Springs families founded the congregation in 1912, first meeting in a storefront for Sunday worship and Sunday School. Its present mission and values continue to join worship, spiritual formation, shared life, and service. Missions pages invite members to connect personally with missionaries rather than treating global work only as financial support; Link2Missions highlights relationships, prayer, opportunities, and an annual missions month. The public site publishes the main time but does not explain service length, musical style, Communion and baptism, current Sunday School or children's programs, nursery care, youth ministry, family check-in and worker safeguards, customary clothing, parking, step-free entry, hearing assistance, or whether every stream is archived. People who need those arrangements should use the official contact channel before Sunday.
