Christ Church Winnetka

About this church

Christ Church Winnetka is an Episcopal parish in Winnetka, Illinois, where both Sunday services center on Holy Eucharist. The church invites adults and children to receive Communion, offers a gluten-free option, and welcomes anyone who does not wish to receive to come forward for a blessing. Family formation extends from nursery care through high school. Sunday School children return to the congregation for Communion, while Club 56 gives fifth- and sixth-graders a midweek mix of pizza, games, stories, and prayer. Older youth can put faith into action through service and mission projects, including home-repair work in Central Appalachia.

Sunday Holy Eucharist begins at 8:00 a.m., with a second service at 9:30 accompanied by choir. The church is at 784 Sheridan Road, and nursery care is available from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. A soft-play area in the sanctuary gives families another option for keeping young children in worship. The 8:00 service is also streamed online, with the broadcast beginning shortly before worship. Visitors can expect an Episcopal liturgy at either hour, with the clearest difference being the choir at 9:30. Check the church calendar for Sunday School seasons, Club 56 dates, and special services.
