Messiah Lutheran Church

About this church

Messiah Lutheran Church offers a simplified traditional service at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and its principal Lutheran liturgy at 9 a.m. Sunday at 801 South Green Street in Brownsburg. Saturday is in person only; Sunday is also available through Zoom. The morning service combines organ, choir, sermon, Communion, and a warm congregational setting, while both times preserve traditional elements for households needing different weekend schedules.

As an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregation, Messiah seeks to be a Christ-centered sanctuary where age, background, gender, and personal history do not limit a person's access to grace or community. Its stated path is to help people worship fully, connect with caring neighbors, and serve those in need. Worship relies on a broad volunteer corps, with opportunities across service preparation and leadership rather than treating the liturgy as staff-only work. Stephen Ministry adds trained one-to-one Christian care for people moving through grief, illness, transition, or another difficult season. Kids and youth programs provide age-specific formation, with current meeting details maintained by the church. A newcomer can choose the quieter Saturday format or join the fuller Sunday service in person or online. People interested in direct service may begin with worship-assistant roles, while anyone needing confidential care can ask how to connect with a Stephen Minister.
