Corpus Christi Parish

About this church

Corpus Christi Parish in Evansville celebrates Mass Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 and 10 a.m.; the Saturday liturgy streams on Facebook. Reconciliation begins Saturdays at 3. Weekday Mass is offered Monday at 7 a.m., Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., Friday at 8:15 a.m. with the school, and Saturday at 8 a.m. If weather closes the school, morning Mass is also canceled. First-Friday adoration runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and concludes with group prayer and Benediction. The parish’s mission is to live Jesus’ gospel and touch other lives with God’s loving presence.

Children ages four through eight may leave the 10 a.m. Mass for about fifteen minutes of Children’s Gospel Time during the school year. Children in third grade and older may train as altar servers. The parish choir rehearses Thursdays, ordinarily sings at 10 a.m. on the first weekend of each month and on holidays, and welcomes high-school students and adults without requiring music-reading skill. Baptism preparation differs for young children, older children, and adults; First Reconciliation and First Eucharist preparation opens in second grade or later. Before attending, families may want nursery and check-in information; others may need accessibility, hearing, Communion, or Facebook-replay guidance.
