Immanuel Lutheran Church

About this church

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Evansville offers Saturday worship at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday services at 8:00 and 10:15 a.m. Sunday School and adult Bible study begin at 9:10 between the two Sunday gatherings, with classes serving ages two through adult. The 8:00 Sunday service is livestreamed, and bulletins are posted online for people following from home. Families or individuals may also contact the pastor to arrange private Communion at church or at home.

Founded in 1852, Immanuel is a Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod congregation centered on the Triune God and on faith created through God's Word and sacraments. Christian education is woven into congregational life through weekly classes, Vacation Bible School, and opportunities for volunteers to help children from preschool through high school. Senior Game Days meet on second and fourth Wednesdays for cards, bingo, snacks, and conversation, creating a social connection for older adults. With three weekend services, an education hour, and online worship, newcomers can choose a schedule that fits while still experiencing Immanuel's Lutheran teaching and multigenerational community.
