St Joseph Catholic Church

About this church

St. Joseph Catholic Church on Evansville's west side celebrates Sunday Mass at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. Official parish materials describe the Eucharist as both a sign and source of unity for the faith community, with Scripture, prayer, music, and Communion shaping the gathering. The choir accompanies the 8:00 Mass, while children have a distinct formation opportunity during the later service.

Children ages four through second grade are invited to Children's Liturgy of the Word during the 10:30 Mass, returning to the assembly later in the liturgy. Parish life also includes a K–8 school, sacramental preparation, high-school faith formation, youth and young-adult links, liturgical service roles, and sustained outreach to a sister parish in Plaine du Nord, Haiti. Visitors should consult the current bulletin for weekday Masses, holy days, and any schedule changes because the parish's explanatory pages use weekly bulletins as the authoritative calendar. Families seeking the children's program should select 10:30 and arrive in time to learn its dismissal procedure.
