St. Paul's Episcopal Church

About this church

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is an open and affirming Evansville congregation rooted in Anglican tradition and committed to welcome, reconciliation, and service. Founded in 1836, the parish has long-standing ties to the city and now connects worship with a food pantry, Sister Joanna’s Table, music, fellowship, and community events. Its public welcome extends to people who first encounter the church through neighborhood service as well as through the red sanctuary doors.

Sunday Rite I Holy Eucharist begins at 8:00 a.m., while Rite II Eucharist with music begins at 10:30 and streams to Facebook. Music at the later service includes choir during the school year and a smaller musical setting in summer. The food pantry opens Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., giving the downtown parish a practical weekly point of contact with neighbors. Online service pages include dated bulletins for both Sunday liturgies, useful for confirming the current calendar. Visitors can expect an Episcopal service shaped by Scripture, prayer, Communion, and seasonal liturgy. Feast days, choir seasons, and special outreach meals may change the ordinary pattern, so the latest bulletin should take precedence. The parish’s about page explains its “middle way” heritage between Catholic and Protestant expressions of Christianity.
