Mt. Comfort Church

About this church

Mt. Comfort Church in Greenfield, Indiana, describes itself as one church in two locations, and its Mt. Comfort Campus on N 600 W holds Sunday worship at 11 a.m. The church's Philly Campus on W US 40 meets earlier, at 9 a.m. Services combine music and media with Bible-based messages meant to apply to everyday life, and people can take part in person or online. The congregation has Methodist roots going back more than 140 years and was formed when Mt. Comfort UMC, The Movie Theater Church, and Philadelphia UMC joined together.

Faith Explorers, part of MC Kids, serves infants through sixth grade at both campuses, using themed, hands-on rooms to teach children about God's creation. Lighthouse Student Ministry serves students, and discipleship groups give adults a way to study and connect in smaller settings. The Comfort House, a duplex on the Philly Campus, offers free emergency and transitional housing to families who have lost their homes, and the church organizes a church-wide mission trip to the Henderson Settlement work camp in Frakes, Kentucky. Sunday services stream on the church's Facebook page and YouTube channel, and past messages are posted on the website. The office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 317-894-8965. Times can change, so confirm on the website.
