First Baptist Church of Rushville

About this church

First Baptist Church of Rushville gathers for worship Sundays at 10 a.m. The congregation describes itself as a gospel-centered community that testifies to the truth of the gospel and seeks to devote itself to prayer and the ministry of the Word. Its official site identifies it as an American Baptist church and provides weekly bulletins, sermon videos, staff information, a first-visit page, and direct contact details. The bulletin archive offers a practical way to preview the current sermon theme and congregational announcements before arriving, while video messages let prospective visitors sample preaching from home.

Pastoral leadership experience on the staff page includes youth ministry, family ministry, and spiritual formation. The church emphasizes shepherding people toward Christ, missionary work, and community outreach rather than presenting Sunday attendance as its only activity. Office hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., which is the best published window for confirming holiday changes or asking first-visit questions. First-time families must ask about children’s programming and care; the site also leaves sacraments, accessibility, service style, and video timing open before attending in Rush County.
