First Covenant Church

About this church

First Covenant Church gathers at 411 South Ohio Avenue in Mason City. Its regular Sunday services are at 9:00 and 10:15 a.m., with online viewing available. The current service archive identifies the earlier gathering as traditional and the later one as contemporary, while also showing that an occasional combined service may replace the normal pair. Visitors should review the current archive or calendar when a holiday or special Sunday could change the pattern.

Children's Church for preschool through fourth grade takes place during the sermon portion of the late service. The 10:15 gathering also incorporates children through short messages, songs, activity bags, and other family-oriented elements. Students in grades seven through twelve meet Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 during the school year, and confirmation provides a two-year path through the Bible and Christian belief. Mission extends from local service referrals—including the Community Kitchen, Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank, shelters, mentoring, and crisis resources—to support for missionaries and projects involving clean water, health clinics, and child sponsorship. First Covenant offers a meaningful choice between worship styles, but families should note that the dedicated Children's Church is tied specifically to the later service.
