Bethany Lutheran Church

About this church

Bethany Lutheran Church's current homepage and dated event calendar list Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m. The church's general about page still says 10:30, so visitors should use the live calendar time or confirm directly if planning farther ahead. Sunday School for preschoolers through adults begins at 9:30. Worship is Christ-centered and follows the traditional Lutheran liturgy, bringing together prayer, praise, and preaching from Scripture. Dress ranges from ties to jeans, children are welcome in the service, and guests do not need to be Lutheran or members to attend worship or Bible study.

Bethany has served families in the rural Ossian area for more than 80 years. Its ministries create distinct pathways across ages and interests: adult Bible study, men's gatherings and breakfast, women's fellowship, Bright Lights for girls ages eight through eighteen, and Trail Life USA for boys ages five through seventeen. The church's sermon archive lets newcomers hear recent teaching, while its emphasis on doing life together presents the congregation as a community rather than simply a Sunday event. Between the all-age Sunday School hour and intentionally intergenerational worship, Bethany offers a traditional Lutheran setting with accessible entry points for both families and adults exploring the church.
