Lebanon Christian Reformed Church

About this church

Lebanon Christian Reformed Church is a country congregation at 2142 380th Street outside Sioux Center. Sunday morning worship begins at 9:45 a.m. and normally lasts about an hour; an evening service is listed at 6:00 p.m. Worship follows a fairly traditional order while incorporating contemporary elements, with hymns and praise songs, prayer, Scripture, preaching, and an optional offering. Visitors are not expected to give, and there is no dress code.

Coffee, juice, and fellowship follow the morning service. From September through April, Sunday School begins around 11:00 a.m. with classes for preschool through third grade, middle school, and high school. An unstaffed nursery near the front entrance includes a changing station and a television carrying the service. Lebanon describes its hope as becoming a flourishing community that blesses its neighbors and glorifies God. High-school ministry includes a monthly youth group after morning worship and support for Sioux County Youth for Christ. The official visitor pages are unusually practical, explaining where to find a bulletin, how the service progresses, where children meet, and how to participate without pressure.
