St. Mark Lutheran Church

About this church

St. Mark Lutheran Church is a diverse Storm Lake congregation where worship, learning, fellowship, justice, compassion, and neighborhood service operate throughout the week. Its public life includes distributing food and other necessities, visiting neighbors, hosting community conversations, and sharing the building with groups from different backgrounds. The church welcomes children as present members who can learn, lead, and make a difference now.

Sunday worship begins at 9:00 a.m. and includes people of all ages, biblical preaching, prayer, Holy Communion, and invitations to serve. During the 2026–2027 school year, Sunday School for children age three through fifth grade follows worship at 10:00. Students begin together with music and a lesson, then move into age-level groups; take-home lessons are available for families whose schedules prevent weekly attendance. Confirmation and other weekday gatherings appear on the current events calendar at varying hours rather than one permanent public schedule. Lent, Holy Week, Christmas Eve, and other seasonal worship also use special dates. Its community-center role may appeal to visitors seeking neighborhood involvement. Public pages do not specify nursery care, children’s check-in, parking, accessibility, dress, service duration, or a regular livestream. Parents can remain with younger children during worship and should contact the church about arrangements below the Sunday School age.
