Waukee Baptist Church

About this church

Waukee Baptist Church begins Bible study and Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 a.m., followed by worship with nursery care at 10:30, at 45 Fourth Street. Wednesday adult Bible study and youth group meet at 6:30 p.m. The congregation describes Christian formation as a lifelong journey, with age-graded resources from nursery through retirement rather than concentrating only on children and young families.

Youth study connects Scripture with issues teenagers are navigating and meets at both Sunday’s education hour and Wednesday’s fellowship-and-study gathering. Children learn through material chosen for their developmental stage. The church partners with Southern Baptist mission organizations at the local, national, and international levels and collects needed items for the Waukee Area Christian Services food pantry. Donation bins are accessible in the fellowship hall during regular Sunday and Wednesday gatherings, so community support is integrated into the weekly schedule. A first-time household can plan one continuous Sunday morning—classes at 9:30, worship at 10:30, and nursery support—or use Wednesday evening for parallel adult and youth study.
