Lutheran Church of Hope’s West Des Moines campus is a large ELCA congregation offering multiple contemporary and traditional worship formats, children’s and youth formation, support ministries, meals, service, and online participation. Its schedule is designed around different preferences: high-energy celebration, a lower-volume early service, classic Lutheran liturgy, and a relaxed evening gathering with weekly Communion.

Celebration worship meets Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 8:00, 9:15, and 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The 8:00 service is shorter and quieter; the 9:15 and 11:00 services draw larger crowds; and Sunday evening uses acoustic music with weekly Communion. A separate traditional service begins Sunday at 9:00 in the chapel, follows the Lutheran Book of Worship, includes classic hymns and weekly Communion, and streams on YouTube. ASL interpretation is available at the 9:15 Celebration service. Breakfast is served Sunday from 8:30 to 11:00, and dinner follows Saturday worship. Because 9:00 and 9:15 are different services in different spaces, visitors should choose deliberately. Children’s programming and holiday services should be confirmed for the selected hour.
