The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Colby

About this church

Colby Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meets at 1145 S Franklin Ave, the only meetinghouse the directory lists for Colby, Kansas. The nearest other meetinghouse is over sixty miles away in McCook, and this building includes an accessible entrance, accessible parking and accessible seating.

Sacrament meeting for the Colby Branch begins Sundays at 10 a.m. and lasts close to an hour, featuring hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members of the congregation. A second hour of classes, with Primary for the younger children, rounds out the two-hour block. Attending doesn't require an invitation or any payment. Many attendees dress formally, though visitors are free to come as they are. Because schedules are decided locally and can change from one year to the next, a short call ahead of a first visit is a good idea.
