Colonial Presbyterian Church

About this church

Colonial Presbyterian Church’s Overland Park campus holds Sunday worship at 8:00, 9:00, and 10:45 a.m.; the 10:45 service is also available online. Visitor spaces provide a shorter walk and signal parking hosts and greeters that a household is new. The Welcome Desk can help with directions, coffee, and children’s check-in, and the church explicitly welcomes clothing ranging from joggers and jeans to suits. Colonial belongs to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and identifies with the Westminster Confession, combining its Reformed commitments with a multi-generational, multi-ethnic community focus.

Children from infancy through fifth grade have programming during the 9:00 and 10:45 services. First-time families are advised to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early; check-in uses child name tags, a parent identification number, background-checked volunteers, and a texting system. Middle- and high-school students gather in a dedicated center for worship, teaching, small groups, and conversation. Local outreach includes a food giveaway on the third Saturday from 6:30 to 9:00 a.m., a community garden that supplies fresh produce, and Abounding Love ministry with adults who have developmental disabilities. Colonial is a strong Overland Park option for people seeking several Sunday times and carefully documented family logistics.
