Evangel Assembly of God

About this church

Evangel Assembly of God in Wichita worships Sunday at 10 a.m., with the service carried live online. The congregation describes its music as modern and charismatic and its clothing as casual. Nursery and children's church are offered during worship, with the nursery opening twenty minutes before the service. At check-in, adults receive a security tag matching the child's nametag and must present it at pickup. Evangel Kids also meets Wednesday at 7 p.m., using Bible lessons, play, characters, and hands-on illustrations rather than treating childcare as simple supervision.

Evangel's Assemblies of God beliefs include salvation through Christ, baptism by immersion, Communion, baptism in the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, and a mission to worship, strengthen believers, and reach others. Middle- and high-school ministry combines energetic worship, Bible teaching, relationships, and a low-pressure social setting. Adults can connect through small Growth Groups: the public schedule includes Tuesday and Thursday evening home groups plus a Tuesday morning women's group, though availability should be confirmed before attending a private residence. The official visitor information is direct about worship style, clothing, and children's safety, making the 10 a.m. service straightforward to plan. Families should arrive by 9:40 if they want the full nursery check-in window rather than entering at the exact worship start.
