Central Baptist Church

About this church

Central Baptist Church meets in downtown Corbin, at the corner of Fourth and Main streets. Sunday school begins at 9:15 a.m. and worship at 10:30. The service runs about seventy minutes, combining contemporary and traditional music with gospel-centered, practical preaching. First-time visitors are encouraged to arrive ten minutes early and use the marked guest lot at Fourth and Poplar, directly in front of the main doors. The church’s welcome is candid about being an imperfect community where people can find friendship, renewed spiritual life, and connection with Christ.

Nursery and preschool care are available during Sunday school and worship for children from birth through age four. Kids Church serves kindergarten through fifth grade at 10:30, except on the first Sunday of each month, when children worship with their families. Central Students meets for breakfast and teaching Sundays at 9:15 and for games, worship, teaching, and small groups Wednesday evenings beginning at 5:30. The church also publishes sermons and guided Bible readings online. With several floors and ministry rooms, families may want to ask a greeter for directions; the guest lot, 9:15 classes, and 10:30 service provide a straightforward first-visit sequence.
