St Paul United Methodist Church

About this church

St. Paul United Methodist Church in Frankfort gathers for Sunday worship at 11 a.m., in person and on Facebook Live. A prayer meeting starts at 9:30 a.m., and Sunday school small groups for all ages begin around 10 a.m. The congregation belongs to The United Methodist Church and began in the early 1960s as a second Methodist church for the city; its current sanctuary opened in the late 1980s. Dress ranges from casual to dressy. Guests are greeted at the door, can note private prayer requests on a visitor card, and are not expected to give. Services are in English, with live Spanish interpretation available through earpieces.

Children are welcome in worship, where a children's message is followed by optional dismissal to children's church, and a staffed nursery serves children from birth until kindergarten. Students in grades 6 through 12 have their own Sunday school group. Adults can join Sunday small groups, short-term Bible and book studies, Monday evening choir and handbell rehearsals, United Methodist Men, United Women in Faith, and a weekly prayer shawl ministry. Volunteers also tend the Grace Garden and prepare monthly meals for the KSU Wesley Foundation. The church sits between the Salato Wildlife Center and the National Guard Armory; its driveway is hidden by a hill when approaching from town, and parking is plentiful.
