Christ the King Lutheran Church

About this church

Christ the King Lutheran Church celebrates Communion Sundays at 10:15 a.m. at 305 Royal Street in Natchitoches, with a Bible-study hour at 9:15. Its visitor page recommends arriving between 9:50 and 10:05 and says regular- and large-print bulletins are available. Worship follows Divine Service, Setting One, giving someone new to Lutheran liturgy a clear idea of the service’s structure before stepping inside.

Founded in the late 1960s, Christ the King belongs to the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and describes its beginning as the work of people eager to celebrate Jesus and share the good news. The Sunday study uses a discovery method built around one of the day’s lectionary readings, so the learning hour and Communion service are closely connected. A women’s Bible study adds a Monday 11:00 a.m. option. The church’s “cross wall,” assembled from crosses meaningful to members past and present, offers a distinctive visual expression of the congregation’s varied stories within a shared faith. For a first visit, the official site answers the practical questions—arrival window, readable bulletins, worship order, study time, and exact location—without requiring a visitor to decode the schedule.
