Douglas Church

About this church

Douglas Church is a Ruston congregation emphasizing biblical truth, fervent prayer, open welcome, and companionship across a person’s spiritual journey. Its mission is expressed through four commitments: sharing the gospel, growing God’s kingdom, loving God, and loving others. Sunday School for every age, traditional worship, children’s discipleship, teen ministry, adult classes, prayer, and practical support help translate those commitments into a weekly pattern.

Adult choir rehearsal begins Sunday at 9:00 a.m., Sunday School for all ages at 10:00, and traditional worship at 11:00. On first Sundays only, worship and discipleship meet again at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday programs begin together at 6:00: Youth Group for grades six through twelve, Faith Zone for prekindergarten through fifth grade, and adult discipleship for ages eighteen and older. Monthly gatherings include a second-Tuesday noon luncheon, third-Tuesday women’s fellowship at 11:00 a.m., and third-Tuesday men’s dinner at 6:00 p.m. The Kingdom Kids page explains that children are encouraged to ask questions, understand Scripture, and develop a personal faith, while the youth page confirms a separate 10:00 Sunday class. Visitors should check the calendar for monthly exceptions before attending outside the core Sunday schedule.
