The Episcopal Church of St. Mary

About this church

The Episcopal Church of St. Mary in Falmouth follows a seasonal Sunday schedule. From June 7 through September 6, one service meets at 9:00 a.m. For the rest of the program year, quiet Holy Eucharist begins at 8:00 and Choral Eucharist with choir and music at 10:15. The summer and 10:15 services stream on Facebook. Visitors receive a bulletin, may follow the Book of Common Prayer, and are free to stand, sit, kneel, sing, or listen as comfortable. Communion is open to everyone, and refreshments follow worship.

Saint Mary’s became a Diocese of Maine parish in 1927, and its present nave was built in 1949. Children’s formation includes Guiding RAY, where Bible stories, faith, friendship, and community shape the program year. The church publishes nursery care for infants and toddlers through age three from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. when the nursery season is active; children rejoin families for Communion or a blessing. Because nursery and formation resume on specifically announced fall dates, families should check the current calendar rather than assume summer availability. The parish is at 43 Foreside Road.
