Community Church at Ocean Pines

About this church

Community Church at Ocean Pines is an ecumenical and inclusive United Methodist congregation near Berlin. Its FISH mission calls the church to follow Christ, invite others, share Christ’s love, and honor Christ through worship. Children, youth, adult learning, family education, music, safe-sanctuary practices, a preschool, a food pantry, and resale ministries support a community where faith is expressed through both worship and practical service.

Three Sunday services offer deliberately different styles. The 8:00 a.m. service is informal, with relaxed dress and organ music. At 9:15, the Psalm 66 Band leads a contemporary service with guitars and a typical message. The 10:30 service is traditional, with a robed pastor, choir, organ, and more formal liturgy. Children’s Sunday School meets during the 9:15 service from September through mid-June, while adult Sunday School meets at 10:30. Youth formation is also published for 9:15 during the school year. Midweek options include Tuesday afternoon Bible study, Wednesday prayer, a men’s Bible study, and monthly groups, each with distinct schedules. Visitors interested in children or youth should note the seasonal dates; outside the school year, they should confirm programming before choosing a service specifically for an age-group class.
