About this church
Mercy Seat Chapel in Gaithersburg holds Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. and worship at 10:00, with a Tuesday service at 7:30 p.m. Services meet in the main auditorium and stream online. A joint worship experience is held on the first Sunday of each month at 10:00, and Holy Communion is celebrated on first Wednesdays. Visitors may dress comfortably, and children use a check-in and check-out system with preregistration available.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God congregation describes itself as Bible-believing, multiracial, loving, and family-oriented. Traffic volunteers help first-time drivers find a space; when the lot fills, a nearby garage and church shuttle provide overflow access. Children and teenagers learn through Bible teaching, discussion, skits, role play, activities, service, and fellowship. Outreach includes monthly meals at a Rockville homeless shelter and visits offering prayer and companionship at a Montgomery County nursing home. Guests joining online can submit a visitor card, while in-person families can save time by registering children before arrival.
