United Church of Christ of Seneca Valley

About this church

United Church of Christ of Seneca Valley worships Sundays at 10 a.m. in its Germantown sanctuary and online through Zoom. Havruta, an adult Bible-study and discussion group, meets at 9 in person and online. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday and at selected special services; the table is open to everyone, including children, with gluten-free bread and wine or juice. Families worship together around a Prayground near the front of the sanctuary, while an adjacent nursery area with toys and a changing table remains available for infants and toddlers. The church currently does not offer a regular Sunday School class.

UCCSV identifies as progressive, inclusive, and Open and Affirming, welcoming people of every sexual orientation, gender identity, race, nationality, age, and ability into worship and leadership. Its recorded sermon library reflects attention to Scripture, justice, Juneteenth, Pride, and the life of the church year. Ministry extends through environmental stewardship, racial and immigration justice, a Little Free Pantry, PFLAG, arts, pastoral care, and direct community service. Short-term study groups, retreats, and book groups meet throughout the year. Visitors who want children's programming beyond the Prayground should check the calendar for seasonal stories, games, and art after worship.
