Soteria Church

About this church

Soteria Church begins its discipleship program, SODIP, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by worship from 10 a.m. until about 1 p.m. at 1928 Woodlawn Drive in Gwynn Oak. The extended service uses music, dance, and drama through ministries called Tehila, Selah, and Charis. Together they aim for worship that is sincere, creative, and centered on encountering God rather than performance alone.

Founded in the Baltimore area in 2013, Soteria is a nondenominational congregation devoted to gospel proclamation, biblical community, discipleship, fellowship, and prayer. Its name and mission emphasize lives transformed through the saving work of Jesus Christ. Soteria King's Kids provides check-in help, age-appropriate teaching, worship, relationships, and activities designed to partner with families. Catalyst brings together high-school students, college students, and young professionals ages fifteen to thirty for biblical teaching, prayer, discipleship, and community. A first-time family should allow time for the three-hour main gathering and begin at the children's check-in desk if needed; adults who want a shorter initial connection before worship can arrive for the half-hour SODIP session. The schedule rewards guests who plan for an unhurried Sunday experience.
