St. Paul’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church

About this church

St. Paul’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church is an Ocean City parish steps from the boardwalk, with roots in Episcopal services held locally in 1878. Worship follows the Book of Common Prayer and is accompanied by hymns and pipe organ. The parish’s outreach is unusually visible on site: a food pantry, community kitchen, and nightly shelter offer practical help to neighbors and visitors in the resort community.

Holy Eucharist, Rite II, begins Sunday at 10:00 a.m.; services are in person and sermons are posted on YouTube. Dress ranges from casual to more formal. Summer parking requires planning: spaces on Third Street, the City Hall lot, and the Fourth Street lot can be used free on Sundays until 12:30 with a church parking pass, available from an usher or the office. Paid parking is otherwise in effect April 1 through October 31. The food pantry and kitchen operate Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to noon; the kitchen also serves Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The shelter is open nightly from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Visitors seeking outreach services should use the Third Street entrance and confirm current operating details separately from worship.
