Rock Hall Seventh-day Adventist Church

About this church

Rock Hall Seventh-day Adventist Church schedules Sabbath School Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. before worship at 11. The worship service streams live on Facebook, and the congregation welcomes people for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and worship either in person or virtually. Its Adventist identity emphasizes Jesus’ promised return and a faith that regards family, work, talents, money, and time as part of life with God. A prayer-request form and direct pastoral contact are available through the official site. Visitors should use the Sharp Street address even though the directory record previously abbreviated the street as East Sharp.

Rock Hall’s history reaches back to evangelistic meetings begun in December 1891. The congregation organized May 21, 1892, and thirty-seven people were baptized in the Chesapeake Bay the following day; the original wooden sanctuary still stands and is described as the oldest church in the Chesapeake Conference. Early Sabbath School relied heavily on memorization before printed quarterlies were available. Anniversary programming has included worship, a traditional potluck, music, and Sabbath-afternoon activities. Families cannot yet verify nursery arrangements, class ages, accessibility accommodations, or Facebook archive retention from the current website.
