Taxiarchae/Archangels Greek Orthodox Church begins Sunday Orthros at 8:30 a.m. and Divine Liturgy at 9:30 at 25 Bigelow Avenue in Watertown. Services use both liturgical Greek and English, with books in the pews to help visitors follow. Guests are not expected to contribute or take part beyond their comfort. The building is accessible, children are welcome in worship, and prepared Orthodox Christians who wish to receive Holy Communion are asked to introduce themselves to the priest before approaching the chalice.

Sunday School for prekindergarten through high school follows Holy Communion. Children worship with their families first, then proceed to classrooms; families with children in second grade or younger pick them up around 11:30 to 11:45. Watertown's Greek community began with three families in 1913, organized a society in 1923, and established a church named Taxiarchae/Archangels in 1937. The present Byzantine-style church opened in 1950, its cornerstone holding parishioner names, a stone from the Acropolis, and Greek and American soil. A first-time visitor should arrive for Orthros or before Liturgy, use the service book, and speak with a greeter or priest about participation.
