North Avenue Church of God

About this church

North Avenue Church of God in Battle Creek gathers Sundays at 10:00 a.m., with North Kids meeting during the same hour. The church says a typical gathering lasts about an hour and invites guests to dress comfortably; greeters and a welcome center are available just inside. Sunday services are streamed when the church is broadcasting, and recent messages are kept in an audio-style library. Those details make the first visit relatively easy to picture: a single main worship time, informal clothing, on-site help, and an online option for previewing the teaching.

Children from infants through fifth grade are served on Sunday, while the school-year Wednesday schedule adds Awana for ages three through fifth grade and Elevate Youth for grades six through twelve. Student gatherings combine games, worship, and small groups. North Avenue also describes community-facing work through a food pantry, homeless ministry, Random Acts of Kindness team, and Empty the Pew Project. The congregation's recurring message is that church is a people and their relationships, not merely a building, so its published pathways emphasize age-group connection and hands-on service alongside the Sunday gathering.
